I'm not near the phone much as I work a day job and run my own shop evenings and weekends. I do check up here often and there are many other really knowledgeable folks on here. Best to just keep everything on this thread. You probably have had a crank bearing come apart. I would recommend sending it to a reputeable shop that does snowmobile cranks (same thing) or buying new. I have lost faith in the SBT brand rebuilds cause they use the cheapest crap bearings. I have had good results with PWC Engine cranks out of New York.
You have no reeds as that is a "piston port" engine. You probaby also have single ring pistons. If you do, they should be replaced with 2 ring versions upon reassembling. Most all jet ski engine parts are aluminum with the exception of the early Kawi standups having cast iron cylinders. While everything is apart is a real good time to true the flat gasket mating surfaces and do some port cleanup, gasket matching. Also at this point you might as well pull and inspect the jet pump. It should feel tight with no play and turn buttery smooth.
