In PA if the trailer and boat are from out of state, the title has to be in hand and signed by seller. If seller is not at the notary, there must be a bill of sale stating cost, HIN and signed by buyer and seller. You then would need either a scraping of the HIN or a printed out picture of the HIN and all must match. I know there are a lot of states that are MUCH more lenient then PA.

Second part. When you go to register the ski. The dmv does not physically look at the ski so how would they know they donít match?
There is no number on the engine. There are two tags on the hull, one is usually hidden under the gas tank or engine.
If you can get the title transferred and get a registration sticker, you will be ok i think. However; if the water cops pull you over and check to see if the hin matches the registration tag, i dont think theyre going to just let you go.
How many gerbils could a gerbil jammer jam if a gerbil jammer could jam gerbils?

I buy a lotta stuff in York Pa. Most don't want to deal with the title issues and I can bump 20 to 40 % , same day selling in Maryland. Pa. got sick of people re-selling without issuing a title in their name ( no tax ) I always go to the same notary, I bring her flowers , a crabcake, whatever. She's putty in my hands. Coos like a pigeon.
