    Yeah had a Coffman halfpipe on a piston port 550 back in the day, the manifold cracked in a few spots and actually had a chunk that fell off.

    That’s what I would be removing “the log” and place the 440 exhaust in its place. I’m just going to do it and post results since it doesn’t seem like anyone has actually done it

    Westcoast offered a diverter slip in for the 440 because of the cross contamination of the negative charge, I'd locate one of those before you invested too much tuning time with your 550.

    The breadbox was a great design for an OEM pipe, the aftermarket pipes were only marginally different/better.

    The 1/2 pipe was a nice addition.

    I did locate one, but waiting to find an exhaust before purchase

    Ok so found a nice stock exhaust and going to use a aftermarket exhaust manifold with this experiment. Will post results when its installed and tested.
