Re: No spark Yamaha? Security sys? Cdi?

Is it possible for the stator to put out too much voltage and be cookin the cdi's? Or is it just not possible for that stator to put out too much. I had just tried putting in a new stator for sitsngiggles (and new wasnt brandnewused ) and with the kill, temp, and security deal all unhooked or bypassed it still has no spark / no voltage coming out the cdi with trying all 3 cdi's, and making sure the electrical box is grounded good. Checked voltage coming out of new stator and its putting out good voltage but does read lower than the one I took out. Starting to think this thing would make a better bonfire.

Re: No spark Yamaha? Security sys? Cdi?

I do have one more question with this whole ordeal. Well I finally got spark and got it to run, the only downside is im not for sure if i learned anything yet as im not 100% sure what thing it ended up being der. I had a thought not sure if its right or has any relevence to this and if it does or was the case im gona feel stupid. How theres only 1 wire going inot the coil other then the ground but 2 plugwires. Im guessing is this like a waste spark type system were both plugs fire at the same time and one fire is wasted during the exaust? and if so if one plug goes bad, shorts out, no spark, whichever, can that one bad plug kill fire on the second wire also were it would appear to lost fire if only check one at a time or is this theory nonsense.

One fouled plug will not keep the other one from firing
