Reliable 760 Motor in GP800-R Hull?

Anyone ever replaced their un-reliable/blown 800cc motor in their 2001 or newer GP800R with a solid 760cc twin motor?

Are the motor mount locations similar enough on both 800 and 760 motors to be interchangeable?

Just an idea I cant find any info on.

A 760 in that hull would not be much to ride as it would be severely under powered. Now an 1100 or the non power valve 1200 would be better choice. I have 2, 800r's and personally I find them quite reliable. They need a bit off season tlc. But that's anything that's that old if you want reliability.

    +1

Just because 760cc is very close in size to 800cc doesn't mean they yield similar performance.

The 760 yields about 80+hp while the 800 yields about 120+hp.

The 800 has Nicasil cylinders, longer stroke and power valves...

Anyone put a more reliable 1100cc motor into a GP1200r Yet?

A npv 1200 is pretty much a bolt in for anything that has an 800 engine in it, all the cables hook up, you just need the electric box off the 1200 ski and there is a small mod to the rubber exhaust coupling, I put one in a GPR800 hull a few years back, stock impeller works just fine and you gain 10 hp to boot, weight is about the same.
Y'all know me, still the same O.G. but I been low-key
hated on by most these &^$$@s with no cheese, no deals and no G's, no wheels and no keys, no boats, no snowmobiles, and no skis, mad at me cause I can finally afford to provide my family with groceries
