93 Seadoo SPX low compression and loss of power

I just did a top end overhaul on this ski. Took it out and it idles good, but you give it throttle and it goes nowhere. Checked compression and it showed 80lbs on both cylinders. My question is would the clearance between the rotary valve and the cover being out of tolerance cause this?

    Appreciate any help!

No. It would be impossible to start in the water. I would double check compression with a known good gauge.
