    650sx hull.... 650 vs. 750 motor

I stumbled upon a cheap 1992 750ss with a good motor in it for cheap. Then I got to thinking.... I know it'll swap into a 650sx easily, which i have sitting around. my questions are...
1: is this a big pin or small pin motor? What can I look for to show which it is? I've read that big pin= top speed, small pin= low torque. am I correct in thinking this?
2: what will I gain from this? Can the stock 650 pump hold the 750? will I need/want to look for a different prop?

Just trying to find out if it makes sense or is a waste of time and I should just ride my 650 the way it is.

    Thanks for any input guys.

650/750/800 pumps are all the same size. 750/800 pumps have a different design. A modified 650 or 750 motor will make the 650sx a lot more fun, just makes sure you have the correct components for performance.

I did not realize those pumps are all the same. So that wouldn’t be an issue. I assume by correct components you mean a pipe, carb, water box, ride plate etc? My ski is pretty much stock right now aside from oil blockoff, ride plate, top loader, stock pipe mod. I guess my real question is, is it better to throw some performance parts on a 650 or 750 in that hull at the end of the day.

Depends on what you want to spend. Impeller is the biggest component factor for any build.
