    Re: Gen2 build gtx2

I ride mostly cove carving bush bouys or anything I can pretend is a track and I wont be jumping this boat like I do my gen1... It just seems like it could handle more impeller on the top end... And if I can get a decent start next season I wouldn't mind doing at least one sport spec race... So are you saying if I am just going to ride it like a buoy banger then go up in pitch on the trailing edge ? And I am not trying to ride it like a rec wake jumper down in the mid range all the time?

But no I dont ride around WOT all the time

Where's mcn6 he's never going to believe this Aperantly comtec head gaskets are stamped so sharp they break... Got a leak sprayed into the cylinder and washed the oil off and the piston smeared on the wall..

Luckaly the bore came out with a hone by local machinist said he took barley anything off...

Cometic head gaskets are garbage. It is the only gasket we have ever had an issue with at the shop.

I am a fan of the stock head gaskets. You get what you pay for.

    Nice build!

Hookers really like to rev. It's a function of how they work, with, I believe, shallower root angles to prevent cavitation. If you're up that high I'd drop a nozzle size.

You should GPS this thing. For reference I was running a 10/16/ 80mm nozzle in my dual carb 550/750 with the Rhaas pump conversion and it was absolutely perfectly pitched. Maxed out at 55.6 but I never checked RPM. With the ported 800 and a 11/17, 76mm nozzle I was at 56.3. Again never checked RPM but that was still under pitched.

Oh also those chambers look like a million bucks after a little polishing. I have the Nynja version but really enjoyed it compared to the factory 750 limited pipe.

    Jonny !! Freakstyle!!

Yea I have never heard or read anything bad about any stock replacement head gaskets until now super annoying I am the guy with all the ride friends busting my balls about how anal I am and why a leak down test and yadda yadda
    Yadda

I ended up slightly D cutting the WORKS ride plate and it was 75% Better it was just pushing the nose down onto the chines of the tubbies making them want to grab and turn it would hunt so bad it was crazy..
15-20 minutes later the cylinder stuck..

Once I get it going again I will defiantly GPS the ski and probably talk to dave I have a TT2A Perminantly mounted to the ski I was reaching my target RPM really easy and fast.. It just seemed to get on up to speed so fast that the trailing edge cound go a degree or 2 higher...

Yea TIM made that chamber for that ski he had never had a gen2 in his shop supper chill guy it was fun hanging out there let me use his tools to work on my battery tray..

Here is the amount I cut off. guessing i will probably cut more eventually and go flush with those corners on the plate I think it can use another inch but will wait for more time on it...
