    I am sorry, but I disagree with Bill....

    I base my replies, and advice on knowledge I have learned here my self, in my own shop over the years. I/We have installed many aftermarket flame arrestors on SeaDoo 787's, and you NEED to re-jet, and lower pop off. Stock pop off on a Seadoo is very high. The stock air box is very restrictive.

    Trust me, Try re-jetting, new needle and seats, and lower pop off.

    I am not here to get into a stupid pissing match, so I am done here....

    I have jetting, needle and seat, and spring specs in my notes at my shop.

    Resetting to what size
    And changing pop off pressure to what psi
    And where do I get springs or can I cut one down?

    With regards to your original problem, inspect the carb base gaskets,
    Have they been reused, are the gasket(s) wet? Wet gaskets are a
    tell-tale sign of a vacuum leak.

    Rejetting the carbs for the flame arrestor is one thing. The engine
    dying at idle is another issue. Perhaps you will fix it, if you replace
    the carb base gaskets.
