Info and help with 96 GTX

    Hello All,

Here my story let see if you can support me i am turning around since very long...

My GTX 96 787 have the engine totally rebuilt and the carb totally rebuilt with the orginal mikuni complete kit. Fuel and oil are new as the filters + battery. The Rave are also serviced and clean.

Years ago I did some modification and I changed the wear ring of the pump when I swaped the original impeller by a skat trak super slim line 17/26. Today the Jet is NOT moving very fast and maximum rpms are reaching 6780 and after few seconds going down to 6600 (at the sea level).

What should I do to improve it a little and fix the issues?

    A) Is this skat super slim line 17/26 the right one for a GTX 787 from 1996 or better to swap again the original one that i still have? is this the reason why I can only reach 6780 / 6600 rpms??

    B) Regarding the max rpms why it reach first 6780 and after few second is going down to 6600? Why is doing that? How to fix it?

    C) Finally how to reach the 6850 - 6980 rpm that is the regular max rpm from this jet according to what I read in different post. Is this due to the super slim line 17/26 from skat trak??? Too much prop for the engine?

Thanks for the support my jet is full orginal and I only swapped the impeller years ago and added the flame arrestor to replace the oem air box.

    Thanks again appreciate all info.

    Frederic

    Hello

Any chance to help me to understand if my skat super slim line is ok for my gtx 96 110cv or do I have to switch to the original from bombardier?

    Thanks

17/26 Super Slim line is a little steep on a stock GTX 800, and I am sure is your issue.

    Thanks for the reply.
Do you think with flame arrestor and carb properly jet it will be enough?
    Otherwise what to do?

No. You need to switch out the impeller.
