Thinking of deleting oil pump on my '95 seadoo,is it a good idea ?

My friend bought a 1995 seadoo GTX took it out twice and oil pump failed and took out his crankshaft.
I heard of guys removing their oil pumps and mixing their own oil.
Is this a good idea ?
What should the ratio be ?

Yup. Very good idea and much easier to deal with. 40:1 is the norm

Keep in mind, the rotary valve still needs oil. You will either need to keep the oil tank hooked up, or set a loop full of oil for it. Most older seadoos will seep oil past the seals, so make sure you check it often.
