    There will be a cable adjustment at the mount on the carbs. You need to remove the big black air box to see / do.

    I presume you're asking about the idle screw set for what rpm at idle? for out of the water rpm at idle should be at least 3000. idle rpm in the water should be at least 1500.(you can have it lower than that, but on an older model(I have a 95 xp) a culmination of problems from age may cause it to idle rough so having a higher idle with help make it not quite as rough.

    does that answer your question or were you wanting something else?

    Sorry, I was asking how much the choke blade should be open when the engine is totally cold ?

    Choke plates should be open all the way, unless you pull the choke. Pull the choke just for initial cold start.
