I had the check engine come on while riding yesterday. Engine went into limp mode. I rode back to the dock and checked for something obvious. Nothing found. Engine fired back up and rode fine for about 15 minutes, then check engine came on again and went limp again. Restarting on the water...ok for just a minute or two and returned to limp mode. Once I had it on the trailer I checked for codes, but nothing showed (I forgot how to check while on the water).

I suspect this is a faulty oil pressure switch, but need to be sure. Does the MPEM store codes that can be retrieved w/ BUDS that can't be seen with the onboard check after the DESS key is removed? Just wondering if I need to take it in to have it scanned or if I need to try to get it to happen again on the water so I can view the code?
