    94 XP carb "junk"

    Hi all,

I rebuilt the carbs on my XP last year and after reinstalling them it ran okay at best. I decided to pull them again to give them another cleaning and there was a ton of crud in there. I replaced all of the gaskets with a genuine Mikuni kit and put it all back together. The ski runs much better but I can tell that there's still "junk" that has made its way back. I had drained all fluids/filters to try and eliminate this issue but I can't figure out where this crap is coming from. Anyone have any ideas? I'm going to pull them off yet again to clean them out. Attached is a picture from one of the gaskets.

Have you cleaned out your fuel tank?

Have the fuel lines been replaced?

Is there fresh fuel being used?
    What would Chuck Norris do?

Yes, the fuel tank was cleaned, fuel lines were replaced, and it is fresh gas.

Ahh, the joys of ethanol. I really wish I had access to a station that sold just gasoline. It's running much better but I guess I'm in for a few more carb cleanings at this point.

    Thanks for the replies.

    Matt
