650 to 701 sn sj Conversion Questions

    For all you superjet geniuses

    1. The bottom rubber stop on the bottom of the 62t (came out of a waveraider && pic below)... Can i cut this so the engine will fit or do i need to get a new stop from somebody/somewhere?? i can't find any info on it...

    2. Engine mounts... do i need a set of 701 engine mounts? or can i use the stock 650 mounts??

    3. I have a factory b i'll be putting on... any suggestions or tricks? or do i just bolt, drop in and tune?

Re: 650 to 701 sn sj Conversion Questions

    1 - Just remove completely.

2 - Engine mounts are the same, no need to change.

3 - You will need to tune / jet carbs. Depending on what fact pipe manifold you have, and what 701 engine you have, you may have to do some mods to get it to work. If you have a true 62t engine with 62t cyls, and you have a 61x manifold (most common)you will need to port match the exhaust manifold. Also exh mount bolts for the 62t are larger than the 61x. You will need to either run thread inserts in the cyl, or drill the manifold for larger sized bolts.
