    98 Kawasaki zxi1100 carb rebuild question

    Just curious are the carbs much different on this zxi 1100 because they say cv or constant velocity carbs .. just wondering if they are line the mikunis and others and still have the pop off valve !! Thanks and this might be a dumb question!

    They do have pop-off valves. They are a bit different in that there is a diaphragm controlling the slide.

    Thanks man. Also is there any way to adjust the carbs ! Mine runs good idles good but if you let it idle for a min and then stab it in water of course it will fall on its face then take off . It seems to starve for fuel for a sec

    I spent a lot of time getting mine to come right off idle last year. I ended up richening the idle jets and adjusting the low speed screws until it would take off clean even after a long time idling

    See mine for some reason has no low fuel adjustment screws I have looked and looked for them but cant find anything !

    They are there but there could still be a plug covering them on yours. I had to drill a small hole through the plug and then pop them out with a screw. They are on the engine side of the carb. Look for the manual for your jetski.

    Then the fun really begins because you can not get to the screws to adjust them with the flame arrestor on. So it becomes a game of pull the carbs, adjust the screws, put it all back together and pray. And don't forget to change the carb to intake gaskets or you will have an air leak that could burn your engine down. I torqued the carb bolts every time to eliminate one more variable.
