    Not sure. I would have to look into that. The other problem is I only have caveman tools. I don't own any kind of measuring device to even check the rod to see how bad it is. I ether need an inside micrometer or veneir caliper and I own neather.

    I looked in my manual and it says the small end on the 1000s is 1mm bigger than on the 770. Small end diameter range on 1000 is 27.003-27.011mm, 770s are 26.003-26.011. I bought a cheap caliper today so I'll measure them and post results. The weisco pin is the same diameter exactly as the old one I pulled out: 21.99-22.00mm. Spec. on the pin is 21.995-22.000
