    Re: 2 year wait.

I didnt say I RIDE with the plugs open, I said I tested the bilge pump by letting the water pour in through the drains to see if the bilge would remove the water. the water never got higher than the drive shaft with both drains open. I ride with them closed so were talking a very small amount when I let off the gas. no leak when sitting still or under acceleration, only on the negative side when I let off the gas. Rode ski for hours and there wasn't much water whan I pulled it out. I have looked and seen when the water comes in. After riding the ski with the seat off it only came in when I let off the gas. Why would I lie?

Not the factory bilge, It's a 1000 gph auto bilge.

Do you speed read? Because I noticed in this thread, your not responding to what I am posting. You have several of these skis and I appreciate your input, not being an azzhat. the engine will get pulled and i will address this , even if I have to 5200 it.

Anyone know if there is a hull bearing that has a double seal ? Think the first problem would be the inner seal wouldn't have the water to cool it. It would overheat, unless it was a sealed, and lubricated bearing/seal.

Yes I skim through when I have a moment. Rhass sells a very nice holder, the coupling has a sealed bearing and a couple lip seals. Normally the holder will tear and leak at the bolt holes, I have had this happen and have seen it multiple times. I would replace that holder and go from there, I'm not really for your pump pressure causing your leak explanation.

Your also supposed to pack the holders seal with grease just like your supposed to do for the pump seals.

                Bingo.... Thank you.

edit: Might ride once or twice more this season, then the rhaas piece goes in. Think there is too much clearance around the bolt holes in the bear/seal ?

No, if engine isnt aligned properly it will take that holder out. Make sure you check your alignment. Also check your driveshaft, make sure where the seals ride are in good condition

I just got a service manual. I'm guessing there are alignment marks like other Kawasaki's. Ill also read the manual before I dig in. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Does the Rhaas piece have a grease fitting? Should if it doesn't.

I have a precision square, also a laser level that throws a perpendicular line if you think that's needed.

Edit: My turd skis have alignment marks in the hulls. I would think JS and SX have them also. I think a grease fitting is a good idea in the pocket between a double seal unit.
Thanks for the offer. You can get model specific manuals for around 12 dollars shipped. Bound, heavy gloss cover.

It's a sealed bearing, there is no reason to grease
