Modify the XP’s and/or the GSX and keep the ‘94 XP for cruising or friends to ride...

Correct. The ‘96 XP & ‘96 GSX will beat your ‘94 XP with no problems.

I have a modded ‘96 GSX w/Factory Pipe Spec 2(Rec Chamber), BuckShot 44mm carbs, BuckShot Head w/43cc domes, Jetinetics aluminum flywheel, BuckShot oil injection block off plate, Skat Trak 17/24B Swirl impeller, stock 140mm brass pump, R&D 85mm/88mm (Exit/Steering nozzles), R&D AquaVein intake grate, Beach House sponsons, HydroTurf mats, aluminum trigger throttle, JetTrim custom seat cover, AGM battery, stock timing, non ported engine that runs all day everyday without issue. Good rough water ski(I ride 95% ocean), long fuel range(15 gal. tank), decent enough handling and a true 2 seater boat. Very stable with just a single rider. But also very stable with 2-Up riding.

You could modify the ‘96 XP just the same because they share the same motor. So pick your poison.
