Carb cleaner through the spark arrestor is fine. Just remove the rubber before you do.

That great oil debate......everyone has an opinion and a tale to tell.

Bombardier clearly states the use of API-TC(Low Ash) oil or Bombardier XP-S oil on the RAVE equipped motors. The 94 isn't as picky.

Some people swear by Amsoil or Klotz or some other exotic liquid gold, some use the cheapest gallon of Wally World TCW-3.

What do I use? Citgo Sea & Snow semi synthetic also sold under an alternate brand name of Mystik which is sold in Academy Sports. It's reasonably priced and it near matches the MSDS specs of the Bombardier oil. I pay about $18-22 per gal.

If you do a search, the number of debates about which oil to use is seemingly endless.

    You and everyone else!

That oil doesn't meet the API-TC spec. It's an ASHLESS oil.

I'm not going to tell you that you can or can't use it, they're your skis.

I like the Supertech (Wal-Mart) TC-W3 oil and have used the Pennzoil you mention above with good success on Rave (787) motors. Do not use the Quicksilver I have had several customers use this and it will gum up the Rave valves in one season.

I have never used the Mystik but it sounds like a good option.

So just in case you wanted to save some cash in the long run.... You can buy directly off Mystik's website.

    https://www.mystiklubes.com/do/produ...C_EO/663092002

    $21.02/gallon!

    $86.30/case of 4 gal

I checked shipping for a case of 4 gallons: about $13 UPS Ground. For 1 gallon: about $9.

I find that a gallon of oil is good for at least 4 tanks of gas. Your fuel tanks should be 9 gallon capacity.
