There are alternative methods. Www.thetrimfix.com and other people have bypassed the factory module and ran a relay setup directly to the motor.

I'm not the right person to ask. I didn't like the idea of tossing $175+ into a module that may fail again. I locked mine into a neutral position and ride it like I stole it. The ski is still a rocket and plenty of fun without the VTS. If I do anything, it will be to upgrade and improve the stock unit so that it functions as intented. Parts fail, that's life. What I hate is that I can't replace the cheap reeds easily the next time they fail. That's why I want to improve the design. That won't be anytime soon, I have way too many irons in the fire right now.

Well i dont even no exactly what the vts does really I no it trims it up and down but idk what the purpose of it is and that was my thinking i didnt want to spend that on one either because people say they fail often if i new the neutral position i would just do that

Re: 1994 seadoo xp help and 1996 seadoo xp

So in a full size boat you trim the angle of thrust in the water to get the boat to be on plane at an efficient angle. There's no point in driving around with the bow above where you can see, effectively blocking your vision.

On your XP it allows riders of different weights to maximize top speed and to perform tricks to some degree. If you leave it in neutral position or maybe slightly down, you can move yourself fore or aft on the seat to jump wakes and maximize speed. I weigh about 255 and I have to keep the nose down by positioning my body as far forward as posible. When I want to jump wakes, I just move back about 8-12 inches and it helps to get the nose up and I get more air time.

Hopefully that is clear enough explanation.

The neutral position is set so that the jet thrust exits directly in line with the pump, not up and not down.
