My 1997 Tigershark monte carlo 1000, Help engine not turning over ,great news

Thanks to a member I found out what was wrong with 1997 tigershark monte carlo 1000. He told me to pull out the jet pump and try turn over the engine just a little to check that the engine was or wasn't seized.it was very obvious that the propeller was jammed in the casing and had scored it,the great new is the engine is seized, but how do I strip and fix the jet pump/impeller drive assembly. I don't have a manual but do have a diagram of it.any help would be appreciated.Mac.

    Wait, the engine IS seized?

As for the pump, your going to need to buy a removal tool. They are only a few bucks on eBay. I put mine on an impact wrench and zip off the impeller. Be careful not to felay your self.. the impeller blades are very sharp and an impact gun doesn't stop for squishy flesh. You should be able to slide the impeller shaft out and replace the bearings.

I use a leather welding glove doubled over to hold such things. Make sure you still have the little mushroom bumper for the end of the shaft. Grease the splines when reassembling.
After long term storage, I always try and rotate the PTO coupler by hand to check for any seizing issues.
