Carrying a phone for emergencies... on a standup?

Anyone figured out a good way to carry a cell phone (iPhone 7) on their person while riding a standup? Would need to be waterproof and able to withstand impact of hitting the water at high speed.

Background: I have ‘92 750sx and ‘95 750sxi standup jet skis that have been mostly reliable so far but I know it is only a matter of time before one of them leaves me stranded in the middle of a lake. The main lake I ride on, Saylorville Lake in Iowa, is big enough that I wouldn’t want to swim back to shore from the middle, but not so big that there isn’t cell service across the lake. I would feel better if I had a way to call for help in case of a breakdown or injury.

I've used a small pelican case when riding solo in the off season.

I use a waterproof pouch that I wear around my neck. Forget who makes it but I think I got it from Overton’s.

I second the Pelican case idea

Here's my idea. My build is not done and I have not tested it yet but it is a Pelican case so I don't see why it wouldn't work. I might even add some water proof blue tooth head phones.
It is bolted to the hood and will have a couple layers of Jettrim undermat along with Jettrim cover on it.

Usually shock cord mine down inside the boat somewhere. Inside a ziplock freezer bag and a small towel or paper towels...never had a problem. That small pelican would fit nicely under tank straps as well

Thanks for the good ideas so far. I kind of like the idea of a pelican case strapped somewhere out of the way under the hood or maybe on the outside. Would love to hear more feedback about how that has worked for others and see some more photos!

I keep my stuff in my storage compartment. It works pretty good with a drink and some ice too. Going on it's 4th season and still hasn't fallen off.
