Seadoo 3D - Need Your Help - Please!

    Hey guys!

I've been wanting to get a Seadoo 3D for a long time and I have a couple leads.

    I'm looking at a 2005 Orange

    and a 2006 Red version.

My goal: Get a reliable Seadoo 3D for just stand-up riding in freshwater, no crazy tricks, just want to ride standing up and slalom around!

Could you please jump in to help me understand the best approach?
    1. Which is the best motor configuration? 951 RFI or DI 782?

    2. Are they 2-stroke or 4-stroke?

    3. What are the common problems with the 3D versions?

    4. Are parts still avail to fix them?

    5. Which one is more reliable for just general stand up riding?

    6. What's the annual maintenance like?

Seadoo 3D owners and those who have ridden one, I'd super appreciate your input!!
    Thanks in advanced, everybody!!

How many gerbils could a gerbil jammer jam if a gerbil jammer could jam gerbils?

    Thanks for the note.

Can you comment on the 2007 version - 4-stroke 3D DI?

    Thanks!

Slow, big, and heavy. And it's the moped of the PWC world.

For someone in the market for one, you haven't done much reading up on them if you didn't know they are all 2 strokes.

My brother had a yellow one back when they were new. Reliability and maintenance is same as any 787 Sea-doo. Standing up on them is no more fun than standing up while riding an XP. Sitting sucks because the flip out seat is uncomfortable...it's like a bicycle seat. Kart mode is the only mode fun because you are so close to the water it feels like you are going much faster than you really are.

Several sites still actually sight them as 4-stroke which is typeos on their part, correct - they never made anything but a 2 stroke version.

I've moved on passed the 3D.
Thanks to all for the input and PMs.
    Cheers.

If you buy a 3D make sure you get the cart seat.
If you buy a 3D from an area that freezes it may have problems with the exhaust.
