    Widening 550sx Tray

Hey guys. This is my first post and firstbuild. Also first time doing some glass work so critiquing is very welcome. I get a little advice here and there from Posts and a buddy that has limited experience with fiberglass. I'm going to shorten the rails about 4in to give myself a little bit of a flat deck on the back. And widen the tray about 2 in on either side. I don't think I'm going to Glass footholds in. Probably do some foot straps or lifter blocks.
Here's what we start with. I already removed the side rail mats.

Here's the plan as per Sharpie

Everyone has been telling me to use poly resin. Because that's what the manufacturer used.

Now a little filler work and sanding and I think I'm ready for glass.

Okay I'll look into that also. I'll go talk to the guys down at Tap Plastic. They've got a lot of fiberglassing supplies
