Seadoo has started making a few of their models with a new process called "CM-Tech" & its already showing issues.

Do yourself a favor & read this before you plunk down your hard earned $$$$ on one.

Cmon, those new skis that are affected only cost like 15k

Oh man..... I just had a good customer of mine from Cincinnati, buy a 2018 GTX 300 here loally over the phone.

Plan is when the weather here turns, I am to go pick it up, run for 10 hours / break in, then do a RIVA Stage 2 kit, and ship the ski to him.

As far as I know the ski is still in the crate. I am now curious to see how it looks.

It seems to be that it's just a case of solvents dissolving the whatever the new stupid material seadoo devised. Issue is the dealer had not put the gascap on correctly and it spilled out onto the hull and damaged it, now seadoo and the dealer refuse to do anything, except a half azzed patch over the affected area. Thing is it's not paint, it's not gel coat, and a proper repair is impossible.

I'd love to know why new skis need a 300hp engine, enough bells and whistles to rival a high end Mercedes luxury sedan, and a new hull material every few years.

Oh yeah, so they can charge 16k for em....
