    SXR 800 Prop Pitch Suggestions

I'm in the process of tearing the motor down, boring and freshening things up. I was planning on having Impros clean up my current Skat 9/17 Prop or possible repitch. Note this Prop was repitched to 9/17 and I don't recall what it was originally. My tach at full throttle reads 7200rpm and my experience with stock pipe SXR's is that there really not much more top end to gain past 3/4 throttle. My boat has good bottom end, but wouldn't mind trying to squeak a little more out of the top. Anyone have a similar setup? Is the 9/17 my best bet? Should I go back to the stock nozzle?

    Please help...it's getting warm outside

Given that you're using a stock exhaust, that pitch doesn't sound too far off.

10/18 works well on stock boats but seems you're running a skat set back so loads motor more but you might get away with it with the mods you have.

What about a 13/21 Solas? What do you think the performance difference would be between the Solas 13/21 and the Skat 9/17? I don't want to lose to much bottom end, but would like a little more up top.

What speeds you seeing at 7200? I played with nozzle sizes on my 750 Sxi FP Limited pipe. 80mm got to peak rpm quicker but the 76mm made more mph.

13/21 is too much prop for your mods.unless you bore out nozzle and increase hp it'll kill the bottom and the top.

I have a 750 nozzle which I believe is 80mm. I don't what I'm getting for a top speed right now. Also, I should note I'm 6,3 240#. The 9/17 might be my best bet. I reached out to Impros via phone and email with no response. Not sure if it's a good idea to buy a new Prop from them or have them refinish my existing g one. Anyone know what's up with them?
