Air holes in zxi1100 bottom deck???

Can any one shed some light o n what the holes are for in the bottom deck of ski that are covered with small metal covers? I'm trying to decide which hull to use as a replacement one has these holes in bottom deck and the other one does not granted ones a 750 zxi hull and the other is an 1100 thanks for any help in trying to understand this as I'm new to the zxi platform

air induction ports on the bottom of the hull that were supposed to decrease drag ,reduced surface friction for a smooth top speed

What does Kats have to do with the air holes Hyosung, and yes before you ask I know that Kats stands for Kawasaki adjustable trim system and no I did not have to google anything to know this info.

It was intended to help cure the ill handling 1100ZXi.

The early versions would pitch a rider off for no apparent reason at top speeds. Kawasaki did this to help the hull handle better at full speed on glass water conditions.

And NO I did not google this either..... lol

There are 2 holes in the hull that let air under the hull to decrease drag there are 2 more holes in the ride shoe that let air into the pump area to keep the pump from over stuffing that would lead to pitching the rider off.

Well thanks for that info fellas, so question then which would be better for a jetmate project I'm working on the 750zxi with out air holes or the 1100zxi with the air holes or I could delete them if they won't work with what I'm doing I don't know may be it would help with the weight of the jetmate? I'm doing a bottom deck transplant to use pump tunnel for 148 in it

Re: Air holes in zxi1100 bottom deck???

BTW the air holes to decrease drag had been in conjunction with a front triangle plate to avoid the instability of that ski...so if the front plate aint there ....just sayin....

    on your other question

we cant google that so we would not know....right ??

pump tunnel complete only, not bottom deck, engine mounts in existing base with some altering....

as always on this site opinions will differ.....

Beer dart yes this is exactly my modle that I'm going to follow but went the cheaper option of the zxi1100 cuz I picked one up with a good motor for 500 bucks so I'm gonna be studying that build thread for materials list cuz I'm gonna try and make mine a little more over the top than the blowsion jm but I like the options of relocating certain things and making space for a sound system and other goodies to come then the other zxi hull I have will be made to hold my freestyle ski and house the stock zxi gas tank with an electric pump to fill jugs or ski/jm so I can tow it around with me from spot to spit in the mate lol
