    1996 Seadoo XP 787 help

Looking for possible solutions to my 1996 seadoo xp 800 problem. I bought it in fall and took it out a couple times, had trouble starting and had to get towed back. Still has trouble starting. I am very green when it comes to seadoos but heres thr situation.

-Never tested compression on cylinders, seller said 152 on both. (Took his word for it, he sent a pic)
    -I cleaned carbs
    -New plugs
    -Verified Spark
    -New Battery
    -Newer black fuel lines
    -Appears fuel running freely
    -All fuses good
-Dess beeps twice as it should when trying to start

What do you think i should troubleshoot next?

    Thanks

You need to check compression for your own peace of mind and base line
Did you clean the carbs and replace parts (diaphragm, needle and seats) genuine mikuni. And how did you clean them? A lot of times the low speed jet orifices clog up and you need to spray carb cleaner thru them and watch the cleaner flow thru. (Youtube)
Check your pop-off pressure on carb after rebuild?
May have an air leak in the New fuel lines. Use otiker clamps to seal well
Does it do it both on reserve and on position may have bad fuel selector
Trim back spark plug wires 1/8th inch to get good copper wire contact
Rotary valve surface may have a groove from port to port that can cause hard starting

There will be many more that chime in with more knowledge than me. This is a great place to learn you will have this thing running like a top in no time.

check the small ground wire in rear electric box ? When you say "trouble starting" can you be a little more specific? Starter spins ? does or doesn't turn engine over? locked engine turns a half second then stops? does nothing? clicks loud when pressing start button? Engine ran for how long then died or was shut off? etc.

Verified spark so the black coil wire is working I would guess. Do a compression check, did you clean the fuel selector switch?

Sounds flooded to me. Try new plugs and while cranking hold the throttle 1/4 open.
