I believe the 94 GTX came with the 657x motor and the 93 had a 657. The carbs were both 38's but the 93 had standard sbn design and the 94 had the "i" series sbn's. They are not interchangeable without changing the manifold too.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

I found a chart that says that that some are sbn 38's. But that they are a different jet size. If they would bolt up, would they work? would the jets have to be changed? or just tune with those jets? im not a carb guy. sorry if these questions are sounding right

Early type , same as 587 twin carbs , SBN 38 s , parallel with linkage , need that early manifold , or get top bolt manifold and go with your inline carb set up

    Re: gtx carbs

I have the 93gtx, I'm trying to find out my options for possible replacements. I've opened mine up, and a couple of the screws are rusted pretty bad. I wanted to find possible replacements, in case I break or round out screws. Planning on rebuilding mine. But didn't know if I would have to replace with exact year carbs. or if others would work. That is the only year with that particular part#. I was was wondering what all year carbs would physically fit. I can get new jets for about $3, if other years would fit. Not sure I'm making total sense. Thanks
