    Steering cable leaks?

So I have a few small cracks in the blue outer cover
Cable moves freely and seems fine. Will water get in thru the cracks or is there some other liner inside the steel housing?
    Thanks

it will over time but it does when brand new also.just the action of going in and out draws water into it anyway.the liner will eventually rot out.
they usually start binding or other issues before breaking.
change it now or later but you'll have to change it eventually.
