    1996 Seadoo Xp 787

Hello! My vts is not working and the Vts module only clicks when you hit the up and down switch. I did replace the 7.5 amp fuse and still nothing. The motor works smooth when I put power to it and the worm gear is free and everything looks good. I did accidentally connect the small black ground to the positive terminal when I was putting the battery in but thankfully everything else is good. Ski starts and runs good. Beeper even works now!! Any ideas before I go and buy a new VTS module unit. I know they fail almost as much as the motors but I keep my skis garaged and clean. I know there are three connectors up front at the Grey electrical box but all the fuses look good.

You're lucky you didn't fry the cdi and the coil!

Yes true! Most likely because the battery was only half charged!! I think I am just going to run in next year and search ebay for a good deal on a complete vts set up or try and find a manual adjuster off an HX!
