    TBM on SXR 800 Anyone?

I am planning to order/install TBM carve plate (the one with four triangle holes), along with TBM Scoop grate, and Blowsion pump shoes. All testimonials welcome.

    Thanks

I'll sell you my TBM Signature Series Ride plate with the cut-outs for $175 shipped. I never liked how it made my SXR handle. It'd be great for racing, but for rec riding it adds way too much nose pressure. It auto-tracks which is great for racing where you're always in somebody's jet wash.

The Pump Shoe fill is the best handling mod you can do for your SXR. Once you fill those voids you can rip corners with out the pump randomly coming unhooked. I could not believe the benefits it added. You don't need the Blowsion kit, just use marine grade silicone, epoxy with filler, etc.

I still rock the stock intake grate, but like I said before, I rec ride. I've cracked my intake grate twice riding shallow rivers, replaced each for $10-$20 a piece.

TBM Scoop on the SXR is our favorite.

TBM Ride plate is good, but I prefer an extended Jet Dynamics on a stock ski. TBM on an 1100 conversion works very well.

Pump shoe, or stuffers as stated above are also a must.

I have all available here, if you need.

Thank you for replies... I had some trouble getting my question out there, so with the delay, my TBM plate, and scoop grate are already on the way. I will give them a try, if too much on the nose, I will put plate up for sale.

If you have too much nose pressure, you could try Tubbies to bring the front out of the water. Good luck!

    Hi WatCon/John

Can you send part# and Pic of long, and short Jet dynamic plates. Do you prefer the long, or short version? I have a Jet dynamics on my wave blaster and love it, so I may order one and have it ready if I don't care for the TBM Signature plate.

    Thanks

tbm plate is a fine plate.you can always shim it if you feel too much nose pressure or add front tubbies to counteract that.
a plate that works extremely well is the shredmaster v plate.doesn't bury the nose in turns and telegraphs you when rear is about to slide out.very smooth transitions and rails corners as well as any other.

Shimming a plate will make more nose pressure. ( You do this by adding measured washers, or shims between plate and hull). I doubt you will need this with a TBM plate.

Triangle relief holes cut into the upper sides of the plate will relieve nose pressure.

Thank you to all that responded. TBM plate, and grate arrives Friday and I cant wait to try them.... Unfortunately all the water in my area is now covered with a cold crusty surface known as ice.... YUK! Oh well, gives time to ready the skis.
