I had a customer in 1996 that bought a new GSX & went home & I got a call the next day that the ski had sunk....he brought it in &
the o-ring had rolled out so we put a new one in got the ski running for him sent him home called a few hours later & the ski had sunk again !!!

He brought it back...same thing. We got it running replaced driveshaft,o-ring,everything. I went to the water & rode it for 1 hour...no issues.

He picked the ski up,(super nice guy & had been a customer for a long time) then he called me the next morning & the ski had sunk again !!! WTF

He brought it back, same thing. I had another ski prepped for him & he left with a new ski & that one never had a problem. About 6 months later
the metal C clip came out. BRP doesnt move real fast.

It's too bad your customer had so many problems with his first GSX

At least you took care of your customer the right way!

I would sure take you up on it. Theyre not that difficult, in fact I'd say the hardest part is the pulling and reinstalling! Trust me, if my wife had her way we would be closer.

Is this the same HX you bought the rear hatch for like... two + years ago?

Yes!! But I think it was still running then (maybe not, been so long). Then that same season my son was riding it and we lost a lower rod bearing.
I've had a nice low hour oem crank since winter 2016/17 but no time to put it back together. Just kept riding my lightly modded 650sx instead. It will be getting put back together soon with a single carb and RFI pump this go around. I actually have a shop now so I don't have to play by mother natures rules anymore!!

We also have a SN Superjet that my wife will be customizing for her. My son is getting the 650sx. And I've got to put together my Tigersaki (550 with 640 Tigershark setup).

I've had a lot going on the last couple years but I'm ready to ride!!!!

Hey since you're down in the area, the 2SOG is working on a pretty decent group ride the weekend of 8/18 at Table Rock.. going to be a good time.

Re: 96 HX - reviving after 18 years of sitting

I still suck at photos. My bad.
But it is done, ran it on the hose this weekend.. hopefully in two weeks I'll get to try it out in the lake. The; first time it'll have hit the water in 18 years, i'm really stoked!
Only thing left to do is make my sons peel some trashed stickers and mats, and polish it up.
I love the way an HX sounds.

Great job Dan! I can't wait to hear the ride report about how hard it was to climb back on cause you're not as young as you used to be lol!
