    Intake filter for F12x?

Iím putting together an intake system with a cone style filter for my 2002 F-12x and wondering if I should get the spark arrestor type which is just metal mesh (not much dust filtering ability) or a real air filter like a AEM dry flow and put one of those pre-filter water repelling bags over it?
please let me know what you guys think.
    thanks!

The filter that same with the MACSBoost stage 2 kit was a K&N foam with screen backing if I recall. The one that came with my GP1800 was just screen mesh. If you think about it, you're not going to filter out much dirt from being on the water. Most outboards do not have a filter... just something to get clogged up. Steel mesh should suffice.

That’s what I’m thinking. Thanks Chris.
