    I found a thread where a guy mentions that he removed the aluminium tab that is molded in the throat of the carb which is used to stop the choke butterfly at the fully closed position, and he says that he gained a lot more flow through the carb, sadly the thread end pretty much without any conclusion except that he had to go from a 75 to an 85 jet presumably because of the increased air flow...

    Also i'd like to know will I lose any performance if I remove the waterbox? Noise is not an issue where I ride...

    keep the h20 box.removal won't bring you any gains.
