800 SX-R NADA and Kelley Blue Book Values

Looking at a 2005 800 SX-R. Used prices from individuals seem to be way over NADA and Kelley Blue book ($4000 asking). NADA has an average retail price of around $2400. Kelley Blue Book has $2835. These are supposedly dealer prices not private party. What gives? I don't think they are going for this.

    Thanks,

    Mike

The stand up ski market is completely f*****, everyone thinks their skis are made with gold

4000 isnít off to much for a 2005. I paid 4000 for my 2003. But mine was only used in fresh water and had an hour meter put it n with new engine a couple years ago so

$4k is a real good price if boat is clean.
unlike what laxpro thinks, the price is based on supply and demand, stand up skis keep their value and the volume of sales is too low for nada to be accurate
so forget about nada and all that stuff,we're not talking used yugos here!

SXRs are an investment , 5000$ is not bad for a stock ski that's clean with some parts as a bonus , that has NO issues ,

NADA and Kelley Blue Book seem closer on couch skis. Last May I bought a clean '07 Kawasaki Ultra LX with a trailer that had 110 hrs for $3950. It is probably the limited supply of stand ups. I hate spending about the same money for a ski two years older with a lower original MSRP and without a trailer. I probably will though.

    Thanks for the replies

I came across one my buddy was just let sitting. He dosent ride it much at all. All stock motor, maybe ride plate and an intake grate. Couldn't get it running after sitting for a few months. Told me he would take so $ for it. And I kick myself in the *** about it all the time for not buying it rather than spending 20 mins to put a fresh battery in it. Lol! Now he wants twice the money now that it runs. Btw, if I wasn't buying a house I would've jumped all over it for 1200$. Bottom line is they are out there. Just gotta keep looking.
