Should I use a battery maintainer over the winter?

I bought this Black and Decker Battery Maintainer/Charger because my battery had died from sitting out in the cold. Over the winter, I was just planning on taking out my battery and keeping it in my basement which is plenty warm. However should I just leave the battery on the maintainer in the basement the entire winter? thanks!

If it is a "float" maintainer, yes. B&D is not the greatest brand. I rotate a .8 amp Battery Tender between 4 skis, and I really should get a second one.

Yes. I rotate a Battery Buddy between two boat and three PWC batteries all winter.. My batteries are reliable all summer and last for years.

Why don't you guys get a very small set of jumper leads to go from one battery to the next (pos to pos, neg to neg) then put the "maintainer" on one of the batteries? It will keep several of them up at once.
