Not easily and not without modification.
Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

    Re: conversion ski exhaust

Bandit got a xir factory pipe to fit in his conversion with some minor fiberglass work. But yea it's not all that straight forward. The orientation of manifold that the 750 skis use with the factory pipe rotates the headpipe too far outward and it hits the hull. I believe the xir uses the other rotation to keep the head pipe closer to the engine, and then the pipe is shaped differently to compensate.

    Re: conversion ski exhaust

i think he was referring to the stock sx, sxi cast exhaust, not the factory pipe. i dont think ive seen anyone use a stock sx or sxi exhaust in a 550. the 650 style exhaust is the easiest way to go. it will connect to your waterbox under the nose just like the stock 550 pipe did.

Ah yes you're probably right. I haven't seen it done before and BLRider is most likely right. By far the way to go is to use a aftermarket 650 exhaust or larger.

Yep, XIR factory pipe is kind of a red hair stepchild. Its a standard kawasaki manifold, yamaha headpipe, and the xir chamber.

Fastfairlane is correct. I was asking about the dime a dozen cast aluminum exhaust.

    Factory 650 Limited.

I'll be building a new 550sx/750 Rhaas conversion this winter and have 2 new Factory Pipes on the way. One Limited, and one Mod. After Newmiller finishes my motor, I'll be doing some testing of both chambers, and I'll post a build thread with the results.
If you're not crashing, then you're not trying!!!
