    carb quiestion

i have a 750 with the dual keihin 3 jet carbs. the throttle is kinda difficult to open and makes my hand tired after 15-20 min of riding. i have a new oem cable and a quality finger throttle i think is a kvpi or something. ive tried several friends skis with mikunis and it isnt near as much effort to open the throttle than on my ski. is there an adjustment in can make to make it easier to open the throttle?

    Re: carb quiestion

Weird. I don't think the Mikunis I am running now were / are any different from the 3 jet Keihins I was running previously. Can you tell if it's strictly from the spring, or if the shaft is bound up in the bushings? Maybe hold back the spring while you try rotating the shaft?

I also use a billet blowsion style throttle lever. Its pretty close geometry wise to a kvpi.

seems like someone said the spring could be wound up too tight on the throttle shaft. maybe unwind it once and put back together. ill have to just try that out.

    Re: carb quiestion

I had a ski once that did that, previous owner used it in salt water. Salt got into the carb and made the throttle plate shaft bind up. A good clean and some new parts fix it.

i dont think mine ever saw salt water. it doesnt feel like its binding at all just feels like lots of spring tension
