    Yamaha XLT800 2002 smoking.

    Good morning all.
I've recently got to my self 2002 Yamaha XLT800.
i saw tons of videos, that when you start the wave-runner on lend even without connect to water, its ok to do it for 10/20/30 sec.
When i starting my ski, after 5,6 second white smoke start coming out from the back area.
Is that "ok"? Or should i bee concern?
( oil level good, the ski starts with no effort, all sounds good, just the smoke throwing me off.)
    Thank you very much.
Im new to all water toys .
Sorry if i spelled something wrong.
    Max.

White exhaust smoke often means water / moisture is in the exhaust - This time of year with cool damp air it would not be unusual for lots of moisture to be in the exhaust and air, especially if the ski has not been used in some time and not fully warmed up recently - what you see and hear on the trailer can be misleading - If it's still warm enough to ride in your area take it out and ride it -

Being it's new to you start it in the water and idle and keep at low speed for a few minutes to get up to operating temp - return to shore, lift the seat and check for leaks, water, oil, smoke, anything unusual - If all is ok and it's warmed up take it out and let it rip for 5 or 10 minutes - Back to shore and lift seat / inspect again - If all ok enjoy your new ski.
