    Winterize / Battery

Hi all - new PWC owner here. 2 Yamaha VX 2015 USED. I've read that if I'm storing them outside (Shrink wrapped) here in New England that I should remove the batteries and keep them on a trickle charger? Is that right? If so, I found this one on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...k_ql_qh_dp_hza

What do you all think? I'm probably going to have the dealership winterize them for me. Anything particular I should ask regarding this?

Yes, I pull batteries when winterizing, and keep them charged.

Make sure the dealer does an engine oil and filter change for you when winterizing. Some do not automatically do this.

Nothing wrong with that dual charger but you don't really need a dual - no need to keep it on at all times - put on first battery for few days until green light comes on showing fully charged - move to 2nd battery and do same - when green remove charger and put it away for a few months - Mid winter repeat to top each charge off - Spring repeat one more time before installing - I don't like leaving tenders on battery for months - every once in awhile a tender goes bad and never stops charging.

Thanks so much for the info. I'll def ask for the oil and filter change. Appreciate the battery advice Don37725 - I thought I needed a dual or two chargers. What you said makes sense. I'll save the money and buy just one.
