Screen for SBN 44 Flame Arrestor ?

I have looked and looked and I can't find a screen or the part number for the screen to go into this Kawasaki flame arrestor for the SBN 44 which is the aftermarket carburetor which is installed on my wife's 1988 X2 650cc.

I don't even know what Kawasaki jet skis this flame arrestor was used on. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Re: Screen for SBN 44 Flame Arrestor ?

Chester: Dang you are good! Yes, I looked it up and now that I have the part number from the Kawasaki parts diagram I assume that I can locate where to purchase the screen. Edit: Holy cow I only found one on ebay and it was $83 for just the screen. Any suggestions where to buy?

Since the four holes on the base looked like it would attach to the top of the four holes in the SBN 44, I assumed it was designed/made for.

Now that you have educated me that this flame arrestor was actually designed for the js440 / js550 do you think it will provide enough air flow for a SBN 44 on a hopped up Kawasaki 650cc engine in the X2?

    Thanks buddy!

If I were you, I'd use an aftermarket flame arrestor. That one is restrictive.

Chester: Thank you. I have the pleated cone shaped, flat on one side, K&N "Marine approved" for racing only on it now without the gauze. Maybe I should just continue running it?
