    Bow pole for standup trailer

I'm repurposing a trailer for my 650SX. I'm looking for a straight vertical bow post (winch post). Specifically one with holes in it to mount the bow stop. All of the ones I've seen online are tilted at varying degrees and without mounting holes. I'm looking for a straight up and down (90 degrees) pole. Thanks - Jim

I get 90% of everything off eBay, or get a piece of tube, a square piece of plate and 2 square u bolts, add a friend with welder.

And if you don't have a friend with a welder that's where something simple like this gets expensive.

edit: 3" tubing is pretty big for a standup

In the past, I've made uprights by using 1-1/2" x 16" threaded galvanized pipe nipples with corresponding 4- bolt hole flanges plus square u-bolts for trailer attachment and round u-bolts for the poly vertical bow pin stop.

Available at Home Depot, Lowes or Ace hardware. They can cut and thread galvanized pipe to your spec for free.
