    Re: MacsBoost 2006 F12X Review!

Ahh, ok. However, I would be careful plugging holes (which a quick connect may do, when on the lake) the oem doesn't suggest. I just shove a piece of tight fitting hose over the nipple when flushing or running in the driveway. Easy peasy. No need for fancy stuff.

Typically a "quick connect" will not flow when not connected so running a quick connect while on the lake may impede flow that is intended in the oem design. Personally I would shy away from that but who am I... I'm no genius or guru. Just kind of an experience and common sense sort of thing.

In the the heat of the summer the only thing that I have seen make any true difference is pump octane.

For my conditions, my ski will overspeed tow or three times when started at full throttle at idle speed. Yes, my F-12X does cavitate more with 205 hp. Most say to go with another impeller, but I was OK with stock. I run the 17.5 boost plug with 93 octane pump gas as recommended by Mac.

It's very evident in this video I made riding it. I had some cavitation issues when it was stock with the stock impeller but when I went to the solas prop it totally cleaned that up. Then, with the macsboost at 19 lbs. boost it is back in a big way...
