Re: stock 98 gp 1200 pop off?

You don't have to run oil in a engine eaither, they run fine without it, .

Myself: when all blown 65u engines you've worked on, all that I've worked on and "99.9%" of ones that came into Bills (rip) shop running or not have creased valves. I have no problem saying it "has" to be done, kinda like running oil.

When 65u came in the Bill shop it automatically got the update or mod if the customer didn't want that or to pay for it he didn't work on their ski. Art at Jet Works even concurs with this, he and Bill were good friends and two of the best in the business.

I strongly suggest it to all customers with either version 1200. If they dont want it i let them know what could potentially happen and theyre on their own after that.

I do probably 10 sets or more a month & have no issues when done right.

    Yeah thats me Mr Clueless.

I must be doing something right cus I do them everyday & they are not comebacks. I havent seen any creased check valves lately just carbs that were rebuilt by someone that didnt know what they are doing & shouldnt be rebuilding PWC carbs anyway.

Drift your are one of the biggest tools on this forum so take a LONG look in the mirror before you start saying I dont know what I am doing.

Your here for the wrong reasons bud, please share the trick you do to make them work for more than a day.

Many people have had this problem with the 65u and all that did Bill's mod correctly no longer have issues with creasing check valves or blown engines.

You do know one of the biggest names in aftermarket carb modifications sets their carburetors up exactly to this mod, right? Bill even collaborated with them as well to help tune their set up even better.

You need to quit thinking your the "best" and take a little advice from others that do know what they're doing.
