Re: Waveblaster 1 with Turbocharged Spark Engine

Billy Dearman’s Judge built Kawi stroker bullet is the fastest waveblaster I have seen with my own eyes. Right at 70mph. It is ridiculous. Sam’s Wammer is pretty close and may leave harder off the line. Basically, when the two of them race, it comes down to who gets the better start/reaction time.

I think Sam said his Wammer hull was right at 66, but I believe this was before he went EFI.

Would love to put this powerplant in an AM blaster hull one day. Wonder what has been the fastest stock hull blaster?

Fastest I have heard was around 62mph. Stock hull is really hard to get speed out of past 60.

Re: Waveblaster 1 with Turbocharged Spark Engine

Was about time that I re-group and update my "schedule". Helps me stay focused on what I have to do instead of bouncing around between a few different things at once and taking longer to complete each thing. The list on the left is categorized on what I have to do with estimated durations for each activity and over on the right is a gantt chart showing the order things will be done in. A few of my friends ask me how I have so much time to do builds like this and the reality is that I don't have much time, I just get a good plan together so I know exactly what I need to do to hit it hard once I get an hour or two to mess around in the garage.

Are you doing any internal engine work to compliment the turbo? High compression? Port and polish, bored throttle body, stroker?

Re: Waveblaster 1 with Turbocharged Spark Engine

ARP headstuds and thats about it. It already has high compression 11:1 pistons. Engine mainly just needs to be able to handle the boost. I do plan to race this in my regional IJSBA organization so 900cc with forced induction is the limit. More boost will make up for anything not done internally

Just got the turbo piping back yesterday and it was migged instead of tigged like I asked. I could've migged it. Anyway, I need to dremel the v-band flanges some because of the heat distortion from welding. I'm going to focus on another project this weekend.... dropping a 760 in my new superjet. I can do that fairly quick and then will continue with the turbo project
