    Buckshot 44 jetting question?

I have a 96 xp 800 with a factory pipe spec 2 and a buckshot head with 39cc domes and just got some buckshot 44 carbs. I need some help with the the jetting on them. Can someone tell me what the jetting should be. Thanks.

I would start with 125 pilots and 115 mains. Pop off around 15psi. Lows out 1.5 and highs out 1 to 1 1/4.

Yes I've set up Buckshot 44's many times. I started you on the rich side of things to be safe. I've been able to drop the total jetting down to 235 in some cases. Did you have issues with my initial suggestion?

I didn't try your set up yet I will though. I usually run 4 to 1 or 3 to 2 ratio on my gas.
    4 gallons of 93 to 1 gallon of c12 110 octane.

The extra octane will help ward off detonation if you have aggressive timing, a race pipe, and/or high compression but it does not really affect the carb jetting. I run 93 with heads and race pipes so I have to make sure it has enough fuel and that the timing is under control.

The only other thing I have is an MSD rev limiter

Both the MSD 4255 and the 42581 also advance or retard the initial timing as well as reset the rev limit.
