    X2 project for over winter

Will be slowly building this x2 over winter. Gona be some attention to detail, going to powdercoat some of the parts like ride plate and ocean pro nozzle , not sure if should powdercoat surf brace or not. Powerplant will be small pin 750, r&d head, r&d intake, sbn 44, dried lengthened cheater pipe, lightened 650 flywheel and electronics

Are you going to change the paint?, I think it looks cool like that. The other one in the background looks good to.

Re: X2 project for over winter

Going to leave the paint as it was well done with epoxy paint in early/mid 90s. Story with the hull. Got if from a guy who raced in 90's. Story was he won world finals in 92 and 94. Also went to Japan to race and this was a copy of the jap x2. My old x2 in background has some hull issues that are more work then it's worth. Jet ski pump section and tunnel almost ripped out of hull and also major crack trying to separate the pump from rest of hull. So that ski will be the donor for all parts needed to complete the jap x2. Sad part day after I road trip to bring this home 1400 kilometers one way, I had a quad accident and busted my shoulder for the rest of the season. Hence the over the winter build.

    What is a Ceet cover?

I notice that the hood is different on the two skis. Is the "Ceet" cover the hood on the new ski?

How/where does air enter the hood on the new ski?

Duh! Seat cover by Ceet. Thank you.

Probably another stupid question. But aren't I right that the hoods are different between the two skis? Why? Our '88 X2 650 looks like the light green older ski. I am not familiar with the hood on the new ski.
