    mixing 5 gallon cans. question

so lets see a vote, got your 5 gallon jug, go to get fuel.
who fills up to the 5 gal line on the jug?
who fills up watching the pumps meter and stops at 5 gal?

I think the question needs to be expanded

so lets see a vote, got your 5 gallon jug, go to get fuel.
who fills up to the 5 gal line on the jug?
who fills up watching the pumps meter and stops at 5 gal?
who doesn't give a shyt one way or the other?

Pump, but i do 16 oz of 2 stroke oil per 5 gallons so 40:1 on my 650sx and 550sx. Should probably go to 14.1 oz to 5.5 gallons of gas for a 50:1 ratio as recommended on the skis.

i run 50:1 on both sj 701 and sxi pro 750 and i watch the pump, just crazy how far under the 5 gal line it is on the jug. like i looks it could take another gallon to reach the line on the jug.

Re: mixing 5 gallon cans. question

I don't go by the markings on my fuel jugs, they are way off. When the cans were new I filled them up with gallons of water and marked it off gallon by gallon. I compare my markings with what the gas pump says, it's pretty accurate.

Being that the Gasoline Pumps are calibrated and certified to be accurate by law, I trust the Pump Meter over a mass produced plastic jug reference line.
